Coldwell Banker Sea Coast Advantage Makes Rankings Jump Among Nation’s Top Real Estate Companies

Rankings in the recently-released 2012 REAL Trends 500 report make it very evident that the merger of Coldwell Banker Sea Coast Realty and Coldwell Banker Advantage earlier this year has created a regional real estate powerhouse and reflect a continued upturn in to real estate market.

The REAL Trends 500 report is released annually by REAL Trends, Inc., the residential real estate industry’s leading source of analysis and information. The REAL Trends 500 report ranks the country’s top residential real estate companies by closed transactions and by sales volume.

In 2011, Coldwell Banker Sea Coast Advantage closed 6,757 sales, a 4.8% increase over Coldwell Banker Sea Coast Realty and Coldwell Banker Advantage’s sales figures from 2010. This year, the company ranked No. 55 in the list of “The 500 Largest Brokers in the U.S.” ranked by closed transactions. Last year, Sea Coast Realty ranked No. 120 and Advantage ranked No. 129.

Coldwell Banker Sea Coast Advantage closed $1,267,352,456 in sales volume in 2011, propelling the company to No. 83 in the list of “The 500 Largest Brokers in the U.S.” ranked by sales volume. Last year, Sea Coast Realty ranked No. 140 and Advantage ranked No. 145.

Coldwell Banker Sea Coast Advantage ranked #5 out of more than 1,000 Coldwell Banker affiliated companies in the United States. Last year, Sea Coast Realty ranked No. 16 and Advantage ranked No. 17.

Coldwell Banker was ranked as the country’s #1 real estate franchise this year, closing more than $117 billion in sales and more than twice as many sales transactions as the next leading real estate franchise.

Locally, Coldwell Banker Sea Coast Advantage performed similarly well. In 2011, it closed more than 2.5 times as many sales as the next leading company. Sea Coast Realty has claimed the title as southeastern North Carolina’s top selling real estate company for 12 years in a row.

David Benford Joins Coldwell Banker Sea Coast Advantage

Coldwell Banker Sea Coast Advantage is pleased to announce that David Benford has joined the company as a vice president and Director of Operations. At Sea Coast Advantage, Benford will help to shape the company’s sales, marketing, and budgeting strategies.

Benford has roots at Sea Coast Advantage, where he was a sales manager from 1993-1995. Subsequently, he owned his own real estate company in Wilmington, Harbour Town Associates, and was involved with real estate development representation, sales and marketing. Prior to joining Coldwell Banker Sea Coast Advantage, Benford was a multi-million dollar top producer in the Topsail Island market area.

“David has been a friend of mine and Sea Coast for more than 20 years,” said Coldwell Banker Sea Coast Advantage president Tim Milam. “His experience and reputation will be a tremendous asset to the agents, staff, and management of our company.”

Coldwell Banker Sea Coast Advantage Agents Complete Peak Producers Program

Real estate professionals with Coldwell Banker Sea Coast Advantage recently graduated from the new 12-week Peak Producers training program created by top real estate industry trainers with Buffini and Company.

Sea Coast Advantage agents Brett Knowles, Hope Hackler, John Femia, Karin MacKinnon, Ken Keegan, Les Christensen, Mary Elizabeth Roberts, Matthew Costin, Pat Palumbo, Russ May, Sandy Monroe, Sharon Pate-Batts, Tammy Barnes, and Travis Best were the first group of Sea Coast agents to graduate from the class facilitated by Sea Coast Advantage Professional Development Director Glenda Newell. Newell is a Certified Peak Producer Mentor.

“It is one of the best programs available with not only in-depth training on habits, skills and attitude, but also the working systems and support available to guarantee success,” says Newell. During the 12-week training program, the students averaged an impressive 8.7 transactions each. She explains that the comprehensive program is designed to help agents take their business to the next level. “It provides agents with the habits, skills, and attitude to not just sell real estate, but to become professional business owners.”

Sales Surge in Autumn Hall’s First Year with Coldwell Banker Sea Coast Advantage

May marks the one year anniversary of the Autumn Hall community’s representation by Blake Frazier of Coldwell Banker Sea Coast Advantage. In that year, sales of single family homes and homesites have grown more than 300% compared to the previous 12 month period.

“Obviously we are extremely pleased with our association with Mr. Frazier. His leadership, guidance and sales and marketing experience have had an immediate impact,” said Brian Eckel, Autumn Hall Development Manager. The majority of the sales activity has been in the $450,000-$600,000 price range.
