Sales Associates Earn North Carolina Short Sale Specialist Certification

When you are interviewing for a job, you want to put your best foot forward. You wear nice clothing, carry a briefcase, and make sure every hair is in place. Your resume is in pristine condition and you sell your smile to every person you meet. Selling your home is very similar; you want to put your best foot forward.

Many people have begun to rely solely on the Internet to find their next home. According to the National Association of Realtors, nine out of ten home buyers search for their next home on the Internet. With those kinds of odds, you need your home to have a strong presence on the Internet. How can you do that? With great real estate pictures.

On the Internet, your Wilmington, NC real estate will be almost entirely judged based on its photographs.  If a potential home buyer is turned off by your photographs or the fact that you don’t have any, you can bet they won’t take the time to come check out your Jacksonville, NC home.

Implement the following suggestions when taking photos of your real estate:


  • Invest in a decent camera and use a tripod for sharp photographs.

  • Stage your home effectively. Use flowers and limit the clutter in your home.

  • Use as much natural lighting in your photographs as possible.

  • Choose flattering angles. Corners and hallways are usually a good spot to take your photos.

Sea Coast Realty Sales Associates to Represent Local New Home Communities

Paen Takes Helm at Coldwell Banker Sea Coast Realty

Coldwell Banker Sea Coast Realty is pleased to announce that Alex Paen will be the new Managing Broker of its Wilmington, North Carolina office

Prior to assuming the role of Managing Broker, Paen was a sales associate with Coldwell Banker Sea Coast Realty for 10 years and led his own successful real estate team.  He steps up to fill the position left vacant by Louise Voelker.

After graduating from the University of North Carolina Wilmington, Paen taught Biology at Laney High School for five years.  The flexibility of a real estate career appealed to Paen.  He became a licensed real estate professional in 2001 and joined Coldwell Banker Sea Coast Realty while still teaching.  A year later he made it his full-time career and, in 2004, Paen founded the Alex Paen Team at Sea Coast Realty.  Paen and his team of real estate specialists have consistently sold 60-90 homes per year since then.  Paen attributes that impressive record to his strong work ethic, values, and progressive approach to everything takes on.

 Paen says that leading approximately 150 agents at Sea Coast Realty’s Wilmington office makes him feel like he’s getting back to his teaching roots.  As Managing Broker, he’ll be teaching other real estate professionals how to create and implement successful business plans.

 Alex Paen is originally from Point Pleasant, New Jersey and enjoys camping, going to the beach, and participating in triathlons.  He is a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and lives in Carolina Beach, N.C. with his wife Mollie and their sons, Xander and Joey.
